A Jerusalem cross necklace, made in the Holy Land

For more than nine hundred years, the Jerusalem cross has been the emblem of the Holy Land. This Jerusalem cross necklace is cast, finished and polished by hand in our family workshop in Bethlehem, a short walk from the Church of the Nativity, where it has long been the cross we are known for.

What the five crosses mean

The large cross at the center stands for Christ. The four smaller crosses stand for the four Evangelists, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, who carried His Gospel to the four corners of the earth. Many Christians also see in them the five wounds of Christ. Either way, it’s a cross that tells a story every time it’s worn.

Not one of many

Jerusalem crosses are sold everywhere, and most are made far from Jerusalem. Ours is made six miles away, in Bethlehem, by Christian craftsmen who shape it by hand every day.

Made in a name, not in a batch

Once you order, we prepare your cross in the name you give us, for a confirmation, an ordination, a pilgrimage to remember, or a lifetime of wear. If you ask, and at no charge, we also present it for blessing at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem or the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem.

A record you can keep and scan

Every cross includes a numbered Certificate of Bethlehem Origin & Blessing Record with the recipient’s name, the occasion and the metal, and, if requested, where and when it was presented for blessing. Its QR code opens your cross’s own provenance page. It all arrives in a limestone-colored gift box with a gold Star of Bethlehem.
